Travelling by Car

Free Parking at Kew Gardens:

Kew Gardens is located in southwest London and is accessible via the A205 (South Circular Road).

The Herbarium Car Park has been booked for guest parking and can be accessed via Kew Green (click here for directions). Whilst there should be ample parking, we recommend arriving early as traffic can build in this area.

There are two accessible parking spaces for blue badge holders located on Kew Green, close to the Elizabeth Gate. Additionally, in the borough of Richmond-upon-Thames, blue badge holders can park anywhere around Kew Green including Pay by Phone and Resident permit holder bays without payment or time restriction.

Parking around Kew Gardens:

Congestion Zone and Ultra Low Emissions Zone (ULEZ):

Kew Gardens is not located within London’s Congestion Zone. It is included in the ULEZ. We recommend checking the ULEZ before you travel if driving by car, details can be found here.
